21 IMCA Modifieds showed up at Prescott Valley Raceway, all with that winning urge in mind. 20 were left after the three heat races with only Terry Belcher Jr. not making the call for the 20 lap feature. 18 cars finished the very competitive race with ten still on the lead lap and only one short yellow slowed the fast pace. Jim MacNeil took command right at the green from his second row starting spot. He held off Chris Weimer and Ryan Roath thru the first eight laps. Then George Fronsman took over the second spot with MacNeil still in command. Fronsman tried all he had to get around MacNeil and on lap 14 he made his move as the leaders threaded their way thru heavy traffic. Fronsman then went on to take the win. MacNeil a close second ahead of Bill Slocum, DJ Wood in a borrowed car and John Cox. Trophies were provided by 2nd Home Arizona Realty. The rest of the top ten were Phil Baillie, Weimer, Steve Stultz, Jerry Clements and Jeff Stafford. Stafford Racing proved two bicycles which were given away at intermission to two lucky kids.

The Pure Stocks also had a super race as 15 started the 20 lap event and 14 were still running at the end of the feature. Richard Markley Jr. took over at the green coming from his second row starting spot. He had Eddie Bogan and Josh Stoks to contend with thru the first four laps. Then Stoks became the yellow and Scott Kleintop joined the top runners. A two car tangle on lap six slowed the field. Markley Jr. continued to hold back Kleintop until lap 13 as the lapped traffic again played a big part in the race. With only two to go George Fronsman got by Markley Jr. and headed for Kleintop. The laps ran out and Kleintop had the win.
Fronsman took second ahead of Markley Jr., Mike Colclasure and Bogan who suffered heavy damage just after the finish line when hit. Finishing out the top ten were Patrick Shumaker, John Reynolds, Steve Shumaker, Jason Parks and Tim Palmer. Trophies were sponsored by Tri-City Towing.

The always fun to watch Hobby Stocks had a 17 car field with 16 left to tackle the 20 lap feature. Jeff Tarro took the early lead from the pole position holding back Brad Auringer. Auringer took the point after only two laps. The yellow appeared at lap five as Ethan Englers Lincoln blew up and needed assistance to get off the track. One lap later Joe Pontin Jr. gained the lead from Auringer but at lap nine he went up in smoke giving the lead back to Auringer. Auringer now had points leader Dave Barnes right on his rear bumper and with five laps to go Barnes took the lead and took it in for the win. Auringer second ahead of Shy Pontin, Randy Auringer and Zach Seitzer in Racine. Trophies were sponsored by Barnes Boys Racing. Rounding out the top ten were Tarro, Tami Barnes, Anthony Larson, Trevor Edwards and Scott Wild.

The Super Stock class of nine cars had the biggest accident of the night as five of them stacked up in turn two after only one lap was in the books. Only one, Henry Guenther could not continue. Buff VanLandingham had the lead at the big wreck and held it for the next two laps when George Fronsman snuck by him. By lap six the leaders were in lapped traffic. At half way it was Fronsman, VanLandingham and Mitch Mohler. This trio went this way to the checkered with Fronsman taking the win ahead of VanLandingham, Mohler, Brad Auringer and Bill Keeling. Prescott Valley Auto Brokers provided the trophies.
